Iñaki Ferreras ©RapidTVNews | 20-03-2012The Spanish pay-TV satellite platform Canal+ (formerly Digital+) is preparing to change its current subscribers' smart cards in a move that seeks to eradicate the pirating of its signal.
It is reported that Canal+ has said that official installers will shortly be changing the smart cards for customers of the Spanish platform. However, the measure only affects those cards known as white cards.
The fight against card sharing the fraudulent use of the Canal+ signal is said to be the reason for looking at changing smart cards to the Nagravision conditional access system.
In the past, the platform has changed its smart cards several times in an attempt to fight piracy with varying results.
